Infotainment Software Engineer

As an Infotainment Software Engineer at ZweiThreads, you’ll develop and optimize media and connectivity features for premium automotive infotainment systems. While focused primarily on delivering excellent code today, you’ll also contribute ideas for improving our approaches for tomorrow. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in writing high-quality software while constantly looking for ways to innovate and enhance our processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Development & Implementation:

Develop feature-rich infotainment components using primarily Java/Kotlin and C/C++

Write clean, well-documented code that others can easily understand and maintain

Collaborate with our German client’s technical teams to ensure seamless integration

Meet delivery commitments while identifying opportunities for improvement

Participate actively in agile development processes

Quality & Testing:

Create effective test plans that ensure robust software quality

Debug complex issues with patience and methodical problem-solving

Take personal responsibility for the quality of your work

Suggest practical improvements to testing methodologies

Cross-Functional Support:

Step up to help with requirements analysis when needed

Share your ideas openly in design reviews, regardless of your position

Support teammates in areas outside your primary expertise

Learn from everyone around you, recognizing that great insights can come from anywhere

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field

4+ years of software development experience

Proficiency in Java/Kotlin for application development

Experience with C/C++ programming

Familiarity with Agile development methodologies

Understanding of basic networking concepts and connectivity protocols

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Willingness to adapt to changing requirements

Team-oriented mindset with good communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with Android-based platforms or automotive infotainment systems

Familiarity with Python for automation and tool development

Knowledge of Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, or eCall standards

Hands-on application-level integration of cellular modem SDKs

Familiarity with Rust

Basic understanding of Automotive SPICE (ASPICE) processes

Experience working with international teams

Basic German language skills

Interest in automotive technologies and connected vehicle trends
