Senior Infotainment Solutions Architect
As a Senior Infotainment Solutions Architect at ZweiThreads, you’ll balance strategic thinking with hands-on implementation in our work for a leading German automotive manufacturer. Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Collaboration:
Partner with our German client to understand their technology landscape and requirements
Translate business requirements into technical specifications that balance feasibility with innovation
Build trust through open communication and consistently delivering on commitments
Present improvement ideas with the evidence to support them and humility to refine them
Explore and champion AI-driven approaches to improve software development and processes
Technical Leadership:
Design and implement connectivity and media components for infotainment systems using primarily Java/Kotlin and C/C++
Guide architectural decisions for higher-level software modules in the infotainment stack
Take responsibility for solution quality while always asking “how could we do this better next time?”
Support the team in troubleshooting complex issues, knowing when to lead and when to step back
Develop process improvement tools using Python to enhance team productivity and quality

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field
8+ years of experience in automotive software development, with focus on infotainment systems
Strong proficiency in Java/Kotlin for higher-level application development
Solid experience with C/C++ programming for system-level components
Experience with Python for automation and tool development
Experience with Agile development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban)
Previous team leadership or technical leadership experience
Experience with Android Automotive OS or similar infotainment platforms
Understanding of connectivity technologies (Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, cellular)
Experience collaborating with international clients or teams
Excellent communication skills with ability to explain complex concepts clearly
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of AI/ML technologies and their application to software development processes
Hands-on application-level integration of cellular modem SDKs
Knowledge of eCall standards
Familiarity with Automotive SPICE (ASPICE) standard
German language skills (conversational or better)
Experience developing software for European automotive manufacturers
Familiarity with German automotive industry standards and processes
Knowledge of automotive communication protocols (CAN, Automotive Ethernet)
Understanding of automotive cybersecurity principles
Experience in small team environments where adaptability is essential
